Accurate Insulin Decisions (AID) Program
The Accurate Insulin Decisions (AID) program offers decision support tools and educational resources on mealtime insulin to help people with diabetes better manage their disease. This program can help patients learn to set realistic goals and decide if mealtime insulin can help them achieve those goals, based on their lifestyle and priorities. The interactive decision aid covers topics such as when to take insulin, when to test blood sugar, and how to adjust mealtime insulin. Resources for physicians guide them in determining whether mealtime insulin may be appropriate for individual patients and when to refer someone to an endocrinologist or diabetes educator.
