Diabetes Sisters

Who: DiabetesSisters offers a range of education and support services to help women of all ages with all types of diabetes live healthier, fuller lives. We understand the fear and isolation that often comes with living with diabetes because we are an organization that is managed by women who are living with diabetes.

Support Resources: We offer a wide range of online resources including articles written by our own team of experts, sisterTALK blogs written by women with type 1 and type 2, pregnancy, loved ones, and staff, and our very own Women’s Forum. We also offer PODS Meetup Programs (structured support groups in 30 cities throughout the US and our Weekend for Women Conference is offered in three cities (Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; and Los Angeles, CA) in 2014.

Upcoming Events: For information about attending or starting a PODS Meetup near you, please visit our website.

Get Involved: Our Sisterhood is growing and we want YOU to be a part of it! We invite you to join our community by visiting www.diabetessisters.org and registering as a member. We are also in need of passionate, dedicated volunteers who are serious about helping other women live full lives with diabetes to help with our online programs (Women’s Forum, sisterTALK blogs, professional contributors, launch of new web programs, etc.) and our in-person programming (PODS Leaders). Please contact us at info@diabetessisters.org for more information.
